The far away tree: Day 8

Tonights run, fuelled by emergency random jellies- new job exhaustion and raised cortisol levels due to ofsted, felt like it was straight out of an old fashioned Enid Blyton book. The far away tree involves visiting a magic land populated by odd things, odd people, where odd things happen, sometimes nice, sometimes nasty. Tonight it felt like we'd run into 'The Land of Run As You Like It'.

Evidence for this is as follows:
1. A man dressed head to foot in running gear, running out of Sainsburys with a filled carrier bag, running a reasonable pace down the road. Good effort!
2. Several grumpy runners who didn't want to make eye contact or respond to a cheery 'hello'.
3. Me saying 'good morning to a fellow runner' it was 6:30...PM.
4. More runners than normal for our town. Resolution runners or marathoners who had suddenly realised it was only 3 months or something to marathon glory...?
5. A man running in a flat cap.

Coupled with me cursing Juneathon and being reminded it was actually Janathon, it was an odd evening!

I'm off to the land of nod to hopefully wake up more grounded tomorrow!

Miles run: 6
Miles bikes:6
