Day 23: Little Miss Irritating

Today we left our Juneathon run till early evening. It was a lovely warm evening and we nipped off to do our run along our well trodden route 21. We are now 23 runs into Juneathon- the madness is starting to get to me. I decided to set myself and extra challenge of seeing how many bits of Galium Aparine otherwise known as 'sticky weed' , I could get to unobtrusively stick to Steve's back.  
 You will of course be delighted to hear I managed to get the first bit (about 8 inches long) stuck as soon as we were on the trail. Steve then ran at least a quarter of a mile unknowingly with it stuck to his back (result). It was when I tried to get a second piece to stick he noticed. It's no small feat catching up with him, so I managed to distract him by getting him to investigate an empty farm building just off the track where it was easy to try and get another bit on. However he soon twigged.. 


The rest of the run then involved me getting a 'crown' fashioned hastily of sticky weed on Steve's head, and mostly him trying to get sticky weed on me- all very childish, but rather good fun and it did make us dash about and give another focus other than running a dull 8. It was so distracting there were some good 8  min paces being thrown out at times. 


In the end we ran 8 miles.
