Day 19: Little Miss Postgirl

Today's run was the usual 10k Tuesday with Steve. I had already run .3 of a mile when I arrived at his house, we went straight out to our usual route. There was lots to catch up on so we actually ran together for about 2 miles! It was a hot evening, but the miles didn't seem to drag like they do sometimes.

One highlight for me was Steve being called a 'jogger' by a man on a bike! Not sure I've ever seen him so insulted, it was very funny- not sure how you class a man who runs a 7 min mile as a jogger!!!!

On the way back we found some abandoned letters in envelopes all with addresses on... all very curious, egged on by Steve I opened one, OK it wasn't completely shut. I was hoping it was a romantic love letter or important spy correspondence, Steve hoped it was a bailiffs letter!!

It turned out to be a bill for newspaper delivery, very unexciting! I tucked it into the crash barrier which had a handy slot, hoping that possibly someone will reclaim it soon or the recipient might be getting a visit from the bailiffs! Moments like this always make me smile, being out and about, enjoying the sun, finding and seeing things you would never see if you were stuck in a gym! That's the beauty of running for me, I love its randomness, you never know what you'll find.
