Once upon a time there was a princess called Jo, she was no oil painting, in fact magic mirrors would crack as she walked past. She was short, slightly athletically built, probably clinically obese and she had very large calf muscles due to the amount of running very slowly that she loved to do. She lived in a beautiful semi-detached castle on the edge of a leafy county overlooking the beautiful flying birds. She had a small daughter and they lived happily together in their castle.
One day she met a beautiful Princess from the land of Brighton. This Princess was called Sanjeedah and she had beautiful black hair, clear skin and had bimodal curves to die for. Sanjeedah said to Jo after she had competed in the Janathon challenge ‘ I hear you are a runner, I must come running with you and we can talk about Princess things and discuss which Princes we would like to invite for tea at our castle.’
‘You must have trainers and a steel reinforced brassiere to hold down your bimodal curves’, said Princess Jo. At this Princess Sanjeedah (allegedly) went shopping and brought the best bimodal curve restrainer in the land...
A long time passed, a very, very long time, a very, very, very long time. Jo took her running stuff to Brighton diligently each week in the hope that the beautiful Princess Sanjeedah would go running with her, but Princess Sanjeedah was always too busy, working, drinking lattes, talking about professors and researching for her project about how Princes behave in crowds.
Princess Jo grew sad and she knew that Princess Sanjeedah would never go running with her. It was then that handsome Prince Ian decided he would become a runner, and so thus Prince Ian and Princess Jo ran once or twice a week around the beautiful land of Stanmer. However Prince Ian decided it was too rainy today and so Princess Jo set off on a 2 miles recovery run all on her own.
Princess Jo was very excited about the forth coming 8k race around Stanmer Park on the 26th June, in which she would be attending with the very handsome and gorgeous Prince Charming and running with the lovely Prince Ian. She would not be running with Prince Charming, for alas she was far to fair a maiden to compete at his speeds, however, she hoped he would stick around and watch her finish. She hoped Princess Sanjeedah would be there to watch and hoped it would prompt her to dust off her sports bra and don her running shoes and join the soon to be formed ‘Psycho Joggers’.

ReplyDeleteTee hee... Love your storytelling... Good luck on the 26th... I hope princess sanjeeda runs with you soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that I wholly approve of princes who are afraid of the rain. I definitely approve of hardy princesses though.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear there will be Juneathoners at Stanmer on Sunday. I'll look out for you. Perhaps we need badges, t-shirts or a secret handshake.
