Today was a busy day for me. I didn't get home with miniJo365 till 5:30, which is late for us!
However miniJo365 is old enough to be left for short periods of time, so with her approval I went upstairs to get changed. I decided to wear my new running top, I like it; it's not pink which is unusual for me! It's green....unfortunately miniJo365's response wasn't very favourable, muttering comments like, 'You look like Shrek's mum' and 'I'm glad I'm not coming running with you mummy'. Hardly complimentary, still at 11 years old her skills in diplomacy and tact are not fully developed, besides I did look a bit like I was taking part in the Shrek running club!Imagine my joy, when I switched on the Diamond League athletics tonight on BBC3 (no revision tonight) to see lots of athletes wearing the very same t-shirt...! I ran my two miles in 17:39, which is very fast for me...less Shrek more speed! I need to catch up on my miles tomorrow as exam day today made it nigh impossible to do more!

ReplyDeleteI'm in the midst of a very busy patch at work and for some reason it's making me want to get out running more - lucky given that it's juneathon. Running and revision are probably perfect partners - good luck!
